Akira minute 82 - A Specific Heresy
The crowd hails Testsuo as Akira. Tetsuo destroys a tank. Nezu stumbles down an alley, drops his briefcase, and clutches his chest. With Elwood Jones.
Akira minute 83 - Big Sale
Nezu stuffs his mouth with pills, but keels over and dies. Ryu slowly walks by him and slumps down to die while a crowd of protesters run past. Kaori stops to watch news of the coup on a tv in a shop window. With Elwood Jones.
Akira minute 84 - Memphis Style Static
The TV news is abruptly cut off. Kaori follows the crowd as they move toward the bridge. Kaneda gets on his bike and sets off to face Tetsuo alone. With Elwood Jones.
Akira minute 85 - The Miyako Minute
Miyako and members of her Akira cult join the protesters on the bridge behind Tetsuo, facing off against the military. A squad of soldiers with laser rifles fire at Tetsuo and into the crowd. With Elwood Jones.
